Dana and Darryl decided to have their private nuptials on the Buccaneer’s secluded Whistle Beach. Their story is quite unique in that before arriving on St. Croix, Dana had been stationed in Korea away from her groom and her family. She and Darryl were able to plan their wedding with the help of the Buccaneers elite crew of wedding planners. There, with only the sound of the waves and the warm glow of the sun at dusk, Dana and Darryl exchanged vows. Following the ceremony and cutting of the cake, we had a great time with the Bride and Groom portraits. Darryl provided lots of laughs, which kept the mood fun and light. I am a fan of elopes for many reasons, but mainly because of the intimacy they provide. When all of the other things are striped away you really get a clear and uninterrupted view of the love, emotion, and spirt of a couple. What an honor and a privilege it is for me to capture these moments!
